Seville Elopement Photographer
Thinking about a Seville elopement? You’re in good company.
This city has a way of slowing things down. It’s warm, a little chaotic, full of colour and life. The kind of place where it’s okay to take your time, skip the formalities, and just be.
I photograph couples who want their day to feel honest. People who don’t care much for the show, but care deeply about each other. If that sounds like you, then maybe we’re a good fit.
Why Elope in Seville?
Seville is not trying to impress you — and that’s exactly why it stays with you.
The light hits differently here. Long evenings, warm colours, the smell of oranges in the air. It’s chaotic in the best way. One minute you’re in a quiet hidden square, the next there’s a band playing in the street.
Eloping in Seville means choosing presence over performance. You don’t need a big guest list, a schedule down to the minute, or a long to-do list. You just need each other, and a place that makes you feel something.
Seville does that.
The Best Places for a Seville Elopement
Most couples choose Plaza de España or Parque de María Luisa — and honestly, there’s a reason for that. Early in the morning, before the crowds arrive, those places feel like something out of a dream.
But if you want something more private, a rooftop terrace with views of the Giralda, the cathedral, or the whole city can turn into something truly personal. One of the most magical options is the Torreón at Hotel Alfonso XIII — an iconic tower suite with full views and serious character. There are also other hotels in Seville with incredible rooftop suites for private ceremonies. If you’re curious, just reach out — I can share a few ideas.
If you’re leaning towards something a little more elegant or architectural, some of Seville’s palace houses make a perfect backdrop. You can take a look at real weddings I’ve photographed in these locations:
- Casa de Pilatos – Classic, quiet, full of history.
- Casa Guardiola – Central, elegant, and timeless.
- Villa Luisa – A garden venue in the heart of the city, ideal for late summer evenings.
And if you’re up for something a bit more offbeat: imagine saying your vows by the river, with the sun going down behind you. It’s not the obvious choice — but that’s part of the charm.

Planning Tips for Your Seville Elopement
You don’t need a minute-by-minute plan. In fact, the best moments usually happen when no one’s looking at the clock.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when planning your elopement in Seville:
- Light is everything. Early mornings and late afternoons are your best friends. The city glows at golden hour, and it’s much quieter too.
- Keep the timeline simple. No need to rush from place to place. Choose one or two spots that feel meaningful — and leave space for the in-between.
- Have a plan, but stay open. I know the city well, and sometimes a short walk through Santa Cruz or turning down the “wrong” street gives us the best photos.
- Want photos in the Alcázar? We can’t do a ceremony there, but we can apply for a photography permit. It’s 100% worth it — the place is magic.
- No need for a big meal. I can recommend real local spots for tapas — the kind of places we Sevillanos actually go to.
- No wedding cake? No problem. Finish your day with churros and chocolate. It’s what we do here.
I’m based in Seville, so I can help you figure out where to go, when the light is best, and which corners of the city might fit your story best. You don’t need to plan it all alone.
“Whatever happens, happens.” That’s the beauty of it.
How I Work (and Why That Matters)
Elopement in Seville – FAQ
Can we legally get married in Seville as foreigners?
Technically yes, but it’s not always simple — there are residency requirements and paperwork involved. Most couples choose to take care of the legal part at home and then have a symbolic ceremony here. It feels the same, without the stress.
What’s the best time of year for an elopement in Seville?
Spring (March to May) and early autumn (late September to October) are ideal. Good light, mild temperatures, fewer crowds. Summers can be very hot — doable, but only if we shoot early or late in the day.
How long should we plan for an elopement session?
Most couples spend 2 to 4 hours with me, depending on how many locations we want to include. If we’re also doing a dinner or getting ready photos, we can stretch it a bit. I’ll help you plan a timeline that doesn’t feel rushed.
Do you help with location planning or permits?
Absolutely. I know the city well and can suggest rooftops, quiet corners, and beautiful routes. If you want photos in the Alcázar, I’ll guide you through the permit process too — it’s worth it.
