Wedding at Casa Pilatos: The Perfect Setting for Ekaterina and Jose’s Big Day

Planning a wedding at Casa de Pilatos Seville is like stepping into a romantic dream. Ekaterina and Jose knew that this iconic venue in Seville would be the perfect place to celebrate their love and create memories to last a lifetime.

When Ekaterina and Jose met while running the New York City Marathon, they had no idea their love story would lead them to one of Seville’s most iconic palaces. United by their passion for marathons, their connection only deepened when Jose traveled to Moscow to run another race. Their love crossed borders, and when it came time to choose a wedding venue, they knew Casa de Pilatos was the perfect spot.

Why a Wedding at Casa Pilatos Is the Perfect Choice

Casa de Pilatos, a stunning palace blending Italian Renaissance and Mudéjar influences, enchanted Ekaterina the moment she saw it. Its elegant courtyards, intricate tilework, and lush gardens create a romantic, timeless backdrop—ideal for a wedding in Seville. Ekaterina wanted her guests, many traveling from abroad, to experience the magic of Andalusia, and Casa de Pilatos delivered beyond expectations.

Jose looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo, while Ekaterina wore a dreamy gown that flowed effortlessly as she moved through the palace’s grand halls. Later, she changed into a second dress for the evening celebration, adding a touch of glamour to the night.

Preparations with a View

The day began at the Vincci La Rabida hotel, where Ekaterina got ready in a room overlooking Seville Cathedral. Her makeup was done by “el maletín de Guada”, and Pedro Gomez styled her hair. The calm atmosphere in the room allowed us to capture intimate, natural moments—a dream for any wedding photographer in Seville.

As we stepped outside for the first look, a light rain began to fall. But nothing could dampen the spirits of this couple. At Casa de Pilatos, the events team quickly switched to plan B, ensuring everything went smoothly. Meanwhile, we took advantage of the rain by capturing romantic, candid shots under the palace’s covered archways.

A Ceremony Full of Emotion

The ceremony, held in one of the palace’s galleries, was intimate and bilingual—officiated in both Russian and Spanish by a close friend of the couple. The blend of cultures made the moment even more meaningful, with laughter and tears shared by all.

The bilingual ceremony added a special charm to their wedding at Casa Pilatos, blending cultures and emotions.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception indoors, followed by a magical dinner in the palace’s main courtyard. The combination of flickering candlelight, elegant decor, and the palace’s historical ambiance created a truly unforgettable evening.

Analog Wedding Photography in Seville at Casa Pilatos

For this wedding, I used a mix of analog and digital photography to capture the raw, authentic emotions of the day. Analog wedding photography in Seville adds a nostalgic charm that fits perfectly with venues like Casa de Pilatos. The grainy texture and warm tones enhance the romantic atmosphere, making each shot feel like a timeless memory.

The cloudy day also gave me the opportunity to use flash photography—a trend that brings spontaneity and brightness to wedding photos. Combining both styles allowed me to tell Ekaterina and Jose’s story naturally, without forced poses, capturing genuine moments that they can cherish forever.
