Your wedding, just as you lived it
After the wedding, the photographs are what stay with you, and I care that you recognise yourselves in them. That you find your people, the things that made you laugh, the hugs, and those moments you might have missed at the time.
I work with a documentary approach. I stay close to what’s happening, paying attention to people, light and composition. I step in only when needed, so you can enjoy the celebration and spend time with everyone who’s come to be with you.
For your couple portraits, we’ll find a short moment that fits into the day. I’ll give you a little direction if you need it, without dragging things out or keeping you away from your guests for too long.
I'm María, a wedding photographer in Andalusia
I live in Chiclana and I’ve been photographing weddings for more than 18 years. Andalusia is my home and where I do much of my work, with couples from here and from other countries who choose it for their wedding.
I love weddings that are thoughtfully put together but leave room to enjoy them: a shared table, conversations that go on and on, and a party where anything can happen. I’m interested in how you’ve planned your celebration, but most of all in who’s going to be there.
If you’re organising everything from abroad, we can talk through your plans and how the photography fits in along the way. I like knowing what matters to you and what you’d like to remember when you look back at the photos.
Digital and film photography
You can combine digital photography with images shot on 35mm and medium format film.
Film is part of the way I photograph. I love its texture, its colours and the way it captures light and movement. I use it throughout the wedding, with the same attention to people and to what’s happening around them.
You can find out more about this side of my work, and see examples, on my film wedding photography in Spain page, or read about shooting weddings on film in Andalusia.
